Epoxy Glass Backed Mica Paper Tape

1.  Scope

    This product is made from mica paper whichbondedwith epoxy resin binder,both side backed with glass fabric under baking and pressing.
    This product has flexibility at normal condition. It has excellent dielectric property after cureed.

DH5444-1 Epoxy glass backed mica paper tape Epoxy-tung-oil adhydrad modifed by malic-imide binder For use wrapping insulation for coils of large or middle HV electric machines at operating temperature of 155℃

3.  Technical requirements

3.1  Form
    The mica paper tape shall has uniform distribution of binder and free from foreign matter, bubbles, pin-holes, delamination, break of the mica paper, shrink of the glass fabric and voll loosened.
3.2  Size
3.2.1  Thickness
    The norminal thickness and admissible tolerance are shown in Table.

3.2.2  Width
    The widths of the tape coil are: 15±1; 20±1; 25±1;30±1; 35±1mm.
    The width of the rolls shall be subjected to agreement between supplier and purchaser.
3.2.3  Curtature
    Curtature of edge of the mica paper tape is not more than 1mm.
3.2.4  Length
    The length of mica tape is indicated by the roll diameter. The roll diameter are 95+/-5mm or 115+/-5mm. The roll shall contain no more than two jions in which the length of the shortest tape is no less than 5m, with joints not exceed two. The roll with join shall be marked on it.
3.3  Compositions
    The composition of 5438-1 & 5440-1(i.e DH5440-1) is shown in Table.
